Nov 19, 2010. Atlus has another Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 spinoff for mobile phones. Escape The Persona 3 Love Hotel. Isn't anything new for Atlus, they've done it in the past with games like Nocturne with Nocturne Maniax and Nocturne Maniax Chronicles, (also arguably the numerous remakes of SMT 1&2.). For Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 on the PlayStation 2, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax Chronicle Edition'.

In Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne's 'Vortex' prototype, character models for Maya Amano (from Persona 2: Eternal Punishment), Lisa Silverman (from Persona 2: Innocent Sin), Sid Davis (Devil Summoner), and Lucifer's design from Shin Megami Tensei II are present. In the final product, the first three characters are absent and Lucifer appears in two different designs.
Additionally, Lilith seems to have had an important role in the prototype, opening up a path for the protagonist. In the final cut, this doesn't happen and she is merely a normal enemy demon.
The first Magatama you get in the game has a hidden skill in it. Called 'pierce', this passive skill lets your physical attacks be 100% effective on all enemies. You can only unlock this by completing the Labyrinth of Amala.
If you keep the first demon you receive, a Pixie or one of her evolved forms (High Pixie or Queen Mab), throughout the game and get her to a special door on the Fifth Kapla in the optional dungeon Labyrinth of Amala, she will evolve in to a Super Pixie.
There are three versions of Nocturne in Japan. • The original version, which was only released in Japan.
• The second version called Nocturne Maniax, which is the same as the one released in the United States, updated with the optional Labyrinth of Amala dungeon, true demon ending and Dante from the Devil May Cry series.
• The third one, which again was only released in Japan in 2008 called Nocturne Maniax Chronicle Edition. This version removed Dante from the Devil May Cry series and had Raidou Kuzunoha from the Devil Summoner series in his place. Raiduo, who is silent speaks through his cat, Gouto.

Translation Patch

It's been a long and difficult road, and at times frustrating to the breaking point, but I am happy (and proud) to present the first and only translation of this wonderful title. I'd like to give my deepest thanks to help and support those around me have given, most especially to Isaki and TGE.

Patching Process

  • Extract all files to your desired directory.

  • Run 'xedltaUI' and select 'SMT3-Chronicles-T-1.1.2.xdelta' as your patch file.

  • Select your unpatched SMT3:Chronicles Edition ISO as your source file. Rev-1 lubricants.

  • Choose your desired output directory and filename.

  • Now simply select 'Patch' and wait! You will be prompted when patching is complete.

This patch requires the Chronicles Edition game, you cannot apply it to the NA/EU copy of the game.

Future Plans

  • Setup a proper hack to allow Gouto to comment when Raidou levels up.

  • Modify the 'Root of Evil' skill so that it mentions its Dekaja effect when used.
